Submission Categories
Extended Abstract:
A short (2 page) PDF file that can propose presentation only, or both presentation and full
CAD&A journal manuscript submission.
The Lead Paper Chair and Paper Co-Chairs will review these and respond with a decision:
i) accepted for presentation plus journal paper invitation;
ii) accepted for presentation only;
iii) declined.
Journal Length Paper: If invited by the Paper Committee, a full length paper (nominally 8-12 pages) that is accepted for presentation and submitted for full peer review for archive in the journal CAD&A.
Best Overall Paper: certificate, open CAD&A archival, US$500 prize.
Best Student Paper: certificate, open CAD&A archival, US$300 prize.
Industry White Paper: A industry oriented presentation that showcases products or services - inquire from the Lead Paper Chair.
Copies of all papers and PowerPoint presentations are distributed on the conference proceedings USB memory key. All 2 page Extended Abstracts will be openly archived on this website as part of the Final Program. Final journal papers are available exclusively from the CAD&A journal.

All professionally presented, good quality papers/presentations are welcome and
every effort is made to accommodate as many as space allows.
The author(s) contract that the submission has not been published elsewhere and, if accepted, that at least one author will register, attend the conference, and deliver the presentation.

October 4, 2012 - Online Submission System Opens:
The OpenConf system will be available starting on this date.
December 7, 2012 - Extended Abstract proposal due:
Authors are invited to submit short (2 page) extended abstracts (in PDF format only). To prepare your extended abstract, download the Microsoft Word extended abstract template, and convert to PDF (use a converter such as PrimoPDF if needed). Please refer to the extended abstract example to see how your submission should appear in the end, and to get an impression of suitable contents. When you are ready, proceed using the Proceed to Detailed Instructions / Submission Link button (below).

January 7, 2013 - Extended Abstract Decisions:
Authors will be notified that their Extended Abstract has been: i) accepted for presentation plus full journal paper invitation; ii) accepted for presentation only; iii) declined.
February 4, 2012 - Invited Journal Manuscript due:
Authors who have been invited to submit a full journal paper (in PDF format only) must do so before this deadline. To prepare your PDF manuscript, download the Microsoft Word manuscript template, and convert to PDF (use a converter such as PrimoPDF if needed). When you are ready, use the Proceed to Detailed Instructions / Submission Link button (below). All manuscripts will be fully peer reviewed.
March 11, 2013 - Journal Manuscript Decisions:
Authors of journal manuscripts will be notified of the Peer Reviewer Comments and Paper Committee decision.
April 12, 2013 - Registration and Visa Assistance / Letter of Invitation: At least one author per accepted submission must register and pay the appropriate conference attendance fee. Immigration visa assistance and Letters of Invitation cannot be provided after this date.
April 26, 2013 - Revised Submissions:
In order to check fonts, collate, and prepare the conference program and USB memory keys, submissions received after this date will not be processed onto the USB Proceedings Key / Final Program / Journal. Presentation computers will be provided on-site, and authors wishing to make last minute updates of their presentations may do so at the conference - however these changes will not be disseminated.
Revised submissions include: i) Copyright Declaration Form (scan and convert to PDF please); ii) Final 2 page Extended Abstract (Word .doc/.docx only, no PDF); iii) Rebuttal and Revised Journal Manuscript for publication in CAD&A (Word .doc/.docx only, no PDF); iv) Presentation file (Word .ppt/.pptx or .pdf) to be loaded to conference computers.
June 17-20, 2013 - Conference Dates: The conference will be held in the Lombardy, Italy region.
